Dual Enrollment Confirmation- Action Required and NEXT STEPS- Read ENTIRE message below!!!!

Updated: Jun 1, 2020

If you have been successfully admitted into the Dual Credit program for Federal Government at North Lake or Brookhaven, you should have received the following email from Ms. Hollingsworth. If you did not and you sent all your documents, please email Ms. Hollingsworth (jhollingsworth@uplifteducation.org) ASAP!

Good afternoon,

You have been registered for Summer 2020 courses. Below are instructions on how to check your enrollment. Please read through each section of this email.

Things to do now:

  1. Log in at Econnect.dcccd.edu

  2. Click the red tab “Current Credit Student Menu”

  3. Under Register for Classes

    1. “Print My Receipt” – check to make sure courses are correct and check the cost of your courses. You should also be able to see class days and times.

  4. Don’t forget to purchase textbooks!!! Follow steps 1 through 3, then click “Buy My Books” – you can either order books online through a third party or through the college bookstore. Note from MG: If you would like an option that is a little cheaper, you can purchase an ebook for $50 (available for 180 days) here: https://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/keeping-the-republic/book259169

    1. Note from MG: The "Current Balance Due" should show 0.00. You do NOT have to pay anything for tuition. The only costs you will bear are for books (textbooks - see above). Do not worry about the "Amount," "Transmitted," and "Remaining" values under "Award." That amount is how much you were awarded for Dual Credit and was used to pay your tuition for the Dual Credit. IF THE BALANCE DUE DOES NOT SHOW 0.00, YOU NEED TO CONTACT MS. HOLLINGSWORTH ASAP!!!

Your "Current Balance Due" should be 0.00 because the tuition should have been paid for using the Dual Credit Award (essentially a tuition waiver).

Don't worry about this amount. This just shows how much money is left in the Dual Credit award:

Additional Email from Ms. Hollingsworth: North Lake TUITION INVOICE - Please read!

Dear Dual Enrollment Students,

I am receiving a ton of emails about a tuition invoice you are receiving.  I am aware you had waivers. I think Northlake has made an error and I cannot answer on behalf of North Lake and their financial department regarding what is occurring here.

I have only been asked to send you this email confirming your enrollment. Please contact Monserrat Austin regarding this matter.  I am sure they will fix this.

Her email is maustin@dcccd.edu. I am sure it will help to have your DCCCD ID handy and included in your email.

I am sure she will provide me an answer next week. However, in the meantime please feel free to email her with your questions about this.

I know this is frustrating.

I am sorry to have to send you somewhere else for this answer.  However, I am sure you understand that I am just the messenger, and do not know why this is occurring.  I have also contacted them.

Thank you for your patience.

After confirming your schedule, do the following:

  1. Log in at “eCampus.dccccd.edu”

    1. If it’s your first time, log in with your DCCCD ID number proceeded by an “e” for the Username and the Password

    2. If you have logged in before and you do not know the password, please contact the Dual Credit Help Desk (972) 669-6555 for assistance.

      1. If it’s an online course, you should see your course syllabus and assignments by the first day of class. If it’s a lecture course, check with your instructor to see if you will use eCampus, or not.

Dropping classes

  •  Should you need to drop your class during the summer, please contact dualcreditnlc@dcccd.edu

    1. In the subject line of the email please include the name of your high school.

  • You must complete and submit a drop request before the drop date posted on your receipt and receive verification that the drop has been processed by a dual credit staff member.

    1. Telling your instructor or not attending class will not automatically drop you from a class

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to Monserrat Austin at maustin@dcccd.edu .
