OLD Enrichment Materials for COVID-19 School Closure (Archived)

First and foremost, we hope that you are safe and healthy. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or World Health Organization (WHO) websites for more information regarding how to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Below, you will find important links (everything underlined is a link) for optional enrichment to keep you updated in this time. Together, we can stay strong and defeat this! As always, let us know if you have any questions. READ EVERYTHING BELOW before asking questions, please. You can also click on the "Class & Faculty Websites" above to keep up with each individual teacher's websites.

ENRICHMENT BELOW. Updates for Mandatory Remote Learning can be found under the Blog section.

  • OPTIONAL UPLIFT ENRICHMENT (NOT MANDATORY) for the Next 2 Weeks

    • Uplift YouTube Channel (This may not be productive for you, so if you feel that you would be better "enriched" by studying for AP exams, that may be the better option.)

      • Uplift 10th Grade Playlist (Videos are being uploaded throughout the day. You might choose to just skim over the content since most of it will be review from middle school. Just remember that AP exams are coming up; remember to use your time productively and study what is most relevant to you. If that means skipping these videos, that might be a better way to manage your time.)

    • Study Island

In an effort to streamline contact information for teachers, please fill out the linked Google Form ASAP if you haven't already.

North Hills Teachers Assigned Work Under "School Closure" Enrichment Activities (IMPORTANT - May be Counted for a Grade. For the next two weeks, however, everything is enrichment (not graded) as per UNHP administration.)

AP World History (Mr. Rash)

  • His "Helpful Documents: Assignments" page contains it all. Pay attention to that. These assignments under this specific bullet point are meant to be completed over 2 weeks. Please break it up into chunks. Review these materials with your prep book (AMSCO, Princeton Review, or Barron's). If you have any questions, reach out to MG or to Mr. Rash's email.

    • Charting WHAP Eras: These charts are to help you think about the World History Eras in terms of the historical thinking types.

    • Contextualization/Periodization: Use this as a review and update on uncovered eras of World History. My reccomendation is to cover one unit every two days alongside your AP Review book such as the AMSCO, Princeton Review, or Baron's Study Guide.
